This is our last couple of days! Sniff...sniff...

Woke up to this...

Good morning Vietnam!

NATURE NATURE NATURE. You city people know what I am talking about when I say I say I crave myself some green and lush nature and clean air. Absolutely marvelous.

You see how my breakfast plate will steadily grow as the holiday progresses. Too much yumminess to resist. YUM!

We cicled to An Bang beach, which was a bit further down from Cua Dai. It was hot and sweaty, but great after the massive breakfast and totally worth it.

How AMAZING is this beach? Finally, paradise. An Bang is my kind of beach. Hot water, boiling weather, not crowded at all and cool little beach bars. Perfect.

After a quick bath we went for a stroll down the Old Town, again, and we had dinner at our now favourite Italian, Good Morning Vietnam, again. Just as good as the first time.

Back at An Bang, we are creatures of habit. Why change what we love. Had another great day at the beach. I would suggest to those of you going, to head a bit further down the beach where it is a little less crowded and the restaurants are way better.

We had lunch and a few beers in a little hut. I went for the seafood noodles. Yes, they were instant noodles, which I haven't had in years but love, so it was a bit of a treat. T went for the seafood rice, because he is addicted to fried rice.

After the last spot of sun at the beach, as much as our now very dark skin could tolerate, we went for a stroll around town. It is even more beautiful than at night.

We hit the street food stalls and let me tell ya, it was a million times better than the fancy Pho we had a couple of days before.

We had to be shown how to eat it. You get a paper wrap, get the meat in there, some veg and hot sauce and your set to go. Delicious. YES.

Nice and sunny!

It's day two and we started off with a really self-imposed-controled breakfast. I literally go crazy at breakfast, there is just something about a hotel breakfast buffet. But I was good.

We walked around the hotel and the beach, fell asleep on the beach, and woke up feeling rather toasted and looking a few shades darker. Remember kids, sunscreen. We were bad, and didn't.

Our hotel beach wasn't the best, so we cicled to a beach a few kilometres down to meet our friends from Portugal, who were traveling through Vietnam.

That's right, over the Summer we jetted off to Vietnam for a few days, and it was GOOD!

Grab a tea a biscuit, it is going to be a picture heavy post.

We jetted off for a long weekend in the sun, to meet a couple of friends from Portugal who were travelling around Vietnam.

It always pains me to leave the kids behind (this was my second time leaving the kids for a few days).

So we flew out mid afternoon and totally arrived on time for a quick drink and dinner, which is just what we needed. It was a short and sweet flight from Macau to Da Nang. Had a small drive to Hoi An and we were settled in our hotel.

After a bit of relaxing and a bubble bath, we jumped in a cab and headed towards the old part of town. Let me tell 'ya I was pleasantly surprised! Having travelled all aroun Southeast Asia, Hoi An is a town I am definitely going back to!

It is so clean and organized. You don't feel cheated by local taxis or anyone else for that matter, it just makes for a really pleasant holiday. Totally recommend it!

Believe it or not, we ended up in a little Italian place and not only was it absolutely amazing, we went back a couple of days later. It was that good!

After the surprisingly unexpected delicious dinner and a bottle of wine we merrily explored the old town. Most things shut quite early, so we didn't really have the chance to see much. But it did give us an idea what Hoi An is all about. It is laied back and people are super nice. I actually saw people pick up "trash" off the floor and disposing of it in the closest bin. We should all do the same in our own cities! How wonderful would that be?
